Youth Highlights!
 
The Y.P.D. sponsored a trip to Washington D.C. to visit the National Museum of African American History, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, and other sites. Over fifty people went on the weekend trip.
 
The Y.P.D. prepared scores of Blessing Bags (luncheons) to distribute to numerous homeless persons.The Ministry of Youth Evangelism sponsored its Annual Back2School School Supplies Give-away. Two hundred families received new backpacks and other school supplies.
 
Isaiah Gregory Goldsmith, Y.P.D. president, won first place in the First Episcopal District Christian Education 11th Grade Essay Contest. He wrote about his hero Arthur Ashe.
 
Talik Mair, a youth leader, was honored as Charles Street’s Layperson of the Year at the New England Conference Lay Organization Annual Luncheon
